Jimmy Toy and I fished “The Weir”, a small pond
on Bishop Creek. Outdoor photographer Kirk Owens took this picture. Visit owensphoto.com

Bishop Creek is a great place to see fall colors and fish for wild
browns and some planted rainbows. We managed to fool a good number of fish
with small caddis patterns. This was our (mostly) dry fly expedition. We
fished Hot Creek and the Lower Owens. We also spent a day with Larry (I
Am Not Worthy) Garfinkel and Steve Anderson and friend
tubing on Crowley Lake. The low (125 cfs) flows on the Lower O made wading
a pleasure, and we had good morning and evening caddis hatches. |
